The title Notations-passages, intervals was suggested by Rugg in 2020 continuing his earlier notations theme inspired by the work and ideas of the composer and artist John Cage.
Rugg was primarily interested in discovering ways of making, and the drawings and sculpture to be shown at The Cut encapsulate his concern with line and space.
