Crafted from mirror fragments, glass, glitter and found objects set in resin, every brooch is meticulously handmade by Andrew Logan in his studio in Wales. Each brooch is unique, and is signed, titled and dated by Andrew on the reverse.

The New Art Centre has worked with Andrew Logan for many years.
His first exhibition with the gallery, Logan of London: Plants, Flowers for All Occasions and Friends, opened in Sloane Street in 1973.
Andrew painted the upstairs space in an array of colours, placing an enormous ‘pond’ in the middle of the gallery alongside a tree. The pool leaked through the floor and into the gallery space downstairs, which housed an exhibition of paintings at the time!

Andrew Logan MBE is a sculptor, performance artist, jewellery-maker, and portraitist. Born in 1945 in Witney, Oxfordshire, he was educated as an architect at the Oxford School of Architecture, graduating in 1970. Since the beginning, Logan’s work has been influenced by the inventive use of whatever is to hand. Glass remains his favourite medium, as he explained I love working with glass and mirrors –the reflections are hypnotic. It’s a kind of magic – as if I’m playing with light from the universe.
In 1972, Andrew Logan founded Alternative Miss World, an art and fashion event presented in the form of a beauty pageant. Judges have included Jarvis Cocker, Tim Curry, Billy Connolly, Brian Eno, Zandra Rhodes, and Ossie Clark. The competition celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022 with the theme Gold. In 1991, Logan opened the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture in Berriew, Wales. Housed in a former squash court centre, ALMoS is the only museum in Europe dedicated to a living artist. Andrew Logan received an MBE in 2024.
Logan has exhibited globally, with shows in Los Angeles, USA, Monterrey, Mexico and Mumbai, India. His sculpture Her Majesty can be found in the collection of the Yale Centre for British Art, Connecticut, with further work included in the public collections of the Hayward Gallery, London; National Portrait Gallery, London; V&A, London; MoMA, New York and MoMA Moscow.
