Volunteer Gallery Invigilator

Roche Court Sculpture Park is looking for a Volunteer Gallery Invigilator to provide a friendly and welcoming presence in our gallery spaces. This opportunity is perfect for someone who is retired, or working remotely, as our gallery space has a desk and WiFi.
Key responsibilities include:
Invigilating the gallery spaces.
Directing visitors to the front of house desk if they wish to purchase books or Roche plates.
Hours are 11am – 4pm, occasional weekdays and weekend shifts.
Lunch is provided.
Applicants must have weekend availability, be able to drive and live in commutable distance of Roche Court.

Volunteer Weekend Gallery Invigilator
The New Art Centre, Roche Court Sculpture Park is looking for a keen volunteer invigilator for our gallery spaces.
Part-Time, weekends, some weekdays.

This opportunity is perfect for someone who is friendly and outgoing, interested in contemporary art, and wanting to gain experience working in an art gallery environment. This is a great chance for those wanting to learn about art and sculpture.
Key responsibilities include:
· Invigilating the gallery spaces.
· Greeting visitors and guests.
· Providing information on the history of the gallery and artists exhibited.
· Directing visitors to the front of house desk if they wish to purchase books or Roche plates.
Hours are 11am – 4pm, Saturday and Sunday, with occasional weekday shifts.
Lunch is provided.

Front of House / Gallery Invigilator and Assistant
Full-Time, Mondays-Fridays, weekend availability

Roche Court Sculpture Park has a free flat available in return for working Front of House and general security responsibilities.
A good level of computer literacy is essential as well as people skills. This position will include working Front of House on weekends and occasionally during the week, as well as assisting with our varied and interesting educational tours for schools.
This job would be enjoyed by somebody who is knowledgeable of the art world. This opportunity would suit a quiet single person or a couple.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Opening and closing the gallery spaces at the beginning and end of each day.
Capable of overseeing the arrival of visitors with warmth and ease.
Receiving all incoming calls, taking accurate messages, and transferring calls to the team.
Monitor the NAC e-mail box and respond to all enquiries in a timely fashion.
Support on the delivery of all events taking place at the New Art Centre including private views and lunches. Please note some of these take place occasionally at weekends.
Communicate with the Estate team to maintain the good condition of the buildings.
Oversee production of park maps in coordination with gallery directors.
Manage sales of gallery plates and publications in person and online.
Roche Court Educational Trust is a charity based in the park, work with the education team to carry out guided tours for schools and visiting groups.
